
Tulsa International Airport is joining the ranks of social media users with the launch of its Facebook page, airport officials announced Thursday. Alexis Higgins, deputy airports director of marketing, said people interested in traveling or the airport itself can search for Tulsa International on Facebook and become a fan. "Facebook not only provides a venue for communicating airport news, it allows airport users to interact with each other and provide immediate feedback on their experiences," she said. The airport's Facebook page will become an additional way to reach out to airport users and share information about weather, fares and airport events. When the airport records its 500th Facebook fan, it will provide a coupon for airport parking on its Facebook page for all fans to print and use on their next trip, Higgins said.
