Reveal Imaging Technologies Introduces Next-Generation Checkpoint System
Posted: June 3rd, 2009

Reveal Imaging Technologies, Inc., a developer of industry-leading threat detection solutions, today unveiled ArrayCT(TM), a revolutionary x-ray detection system for screening baggage at the checkpoint. The world's first demonstration of the system is being provided in Reveal Booth #A26 at TranSec World Expo.

Unlike today's static x-ray checkpoints, which capture only two images of a stationary bag, Reveal ArrayCT uses multi-axis image acquisition and Array Motion Imaging(TM) to scan moving bags from multiple angles simultaneously. The resulting image enables the operator to identify threat objects by their shape, placement, and most importantly, relative motion. This capability, combined with ArrayCT's best-in-class material classification algorithms, improves operator effectiveness and results in greater efficiency. ArrayCT also can detect the multiple threats of liquids, explosives and laptops simultaneously without compromising security.

"As threats continue to evolve rapidly, static x-ray systems and their operators are being pushed to their limits, because speed and accuracy are often mutually exclusive," said Michael Ellenbogen, president and CEO, Reveal. "ArrayCT, on the other hand, provides an unmatched level of accuracy while keeping the checkpoint moving. As a result, ArrayCT sets a whole new standard in checkpoint security."

ArrayCT is fully compatible with existing and planned checkpoint operations, making it an ideal choice for airport security checkpoints, border crossings, courthouses, police stations, office buildings, government facilities, military bases, critical infrastructure facilities and other public venues. In addition, ArrayCT complies with the requirements of leading international security standards organizations.

"We are committed to delivering not only the highest level of innovation, but practical solutions as well," said Ellenbogen. "We designed ArrayCT with an end goal in mind - to quickly move people through the checkpoint while providing the highest level of security. The result is a system that delivers the most cost-effective checkpoint solution available today."
