A Northwest Airlink regional jet operated by Pinnacle Airlines collided with a luggage tug in a taxi lane at Detroit Metropolitan Airport, leaving the driver of the tug with minor injuries.
Airport spokesman Mike Conway said no one on the plane was hurt in the accident shortly before 6 a.m. Thursday.
Conway said the plane, carrying 21 passengers and three crewmembers, had arrived in Romulus from Grand Rapids and was taxiing to the gate. Conway said the driver of the Delta luggage-hauling vehicle was taken to a hospital.
Conway said other flights weren't disrupted, but the plane had some damage. A message seeking details was left with Pinnacle.
Northwest Airlink is part of Northwest Airlines, which recently was acquired by Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines.
